Shipping Charges Are Processing

Hi Everyone!
So we were all set to charge for shipping yesterday, and we'd definitely confirmed it a couple of times with Backerkit. They reached out to us in the final hour asking for additional confirmation, and because we didn't get to the email before they closed for the holiday, they may not have charged you for shipping yesterday?
Le-sigh.
No need to worry, though--as soon as Backerkit is back in the office, your shipping will be charged if it hasn't been already. This could be tomorrow or Monday depending on when they re-open again, and timelines won't be affected.
We've noticed that many of you have inquired about shipping tax charges, and most states do in fact charge taxes for shipping, or handling, or some combo of both. This is something we accounted for when we re-calculated your shipping costs, so even though it shows up separately on your quote (as it's legally required to do), it's already something we factored in. If you still feel that you've been unfairly taxed (i.e. you live in a state that doesn't tax shipping or handling), email [email protected] and we'll look into it. Just know that you'll be charged what you were quoted, so if we find a shipping tax discrepancy, we'll address it post-charge.
As we stated in a previous email, we're doing things completely differently in future campaigns due to all of the headaches that separate charges have caused: we're going to do our best to calculate a single charge that includes tier pledge, tax, and shipping.
We're taking off today and tomorrow for the holiday, so any questions or comments you have will be reviewed when we're "back in office." Have a lovely holiday however you celebrate, and we'll be in touch soon!

Reminder! Shipping Charged on Wednesday, November 22nd

Good afternoon,
Just a quick reminder that shipping will be charged on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. For those who have contacted us with any discrepancies in their charges, we are getting those corrected today so you should see those changes reflected in your account by tomorrow. Remember, you have until noon (U.S.) on Tuesday, November 21st to contact us with any shipping cost adjustments or questions. That will give us enough time to submit these changes to BackerKit to ensure the system is updated before charges occur on Wednesday.
Note About Address Changes
For those who have contacted us with address changes please note that the BackerKit System will not reflect this change because we exported all the addresses out of BackerKit for our fulfillment center months ago. Therefore, any changes you send to us have to be made directly to our master list. So, please do not fret if you look at your account and see your old address. If you have received confirmation from us that it has been changed, please know that it has.
We will send another reminder tomorrow just to be thorough.
