Wisdom of Pooh Tarot

A tarot deck in the RWS system with 22 Majors and 56 fully illustrated Minors. The artwork is a culmination of both old and new illustrations based on E.H. Shepard's classic work done for A. A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh in the 1920's. Kat has really done a beautiful job channeling Shepard for this artwork.

Hello everyone, 

Thank you for your support and feedback since our last update. We really appreciate it. 

We recognize that the delay in receiving your order or tracking information has been frustrating, and we hear and understand your concerns. From our latest update, we intended to share everything happening behind the scenes so you all have some clarity and context, as being open and transparent with you is important to us. 

We were given little information on our end from fulfilment, and we take responsibility for who we worked with on this project. This entire experience has been a lesson; we have learned a lot and intend to grow from it. We as a team have decided to move forward and part ways with the fulfilment we were using, and we are working towards finding a better one. 

Some of you have mentioned listing all the regions in the queue and which ones have been shipped, are in the queue, are pending, etc. This is a great suggestion and one we will keep in mind for the future. 

Right now, our main priority is to get everyone their tracking information and find a better fulfilment center to send out the remaining 1500 decks. We understand that you are frustrated, tired of waiting, etc. We are manually emailing tracking information to each individual person. This was not a task we had prepared for, as it was meant to be handled by fulfilment. We have been given spreadsheets and took this task on, and four of us are working towards delivering all 5,000+ tracking numbers. As a small business, we were not prepared for this, and because we are manually doing everything, it is taking time. 

We want to thank all of you who supported us through our launch of Wisdom of Pooh and let you know we feel your frustration with the fulfilment. Your feelings are valid, and we are doing our best to pivot, learn, and grow from this experience. 
 
 

New Fulfillment Company on the Way

Good morning,

After a very late night call with our manufacturer last night, we have several updates to provide:

  1. We fired the fulfillment company that was handling this project.  While 3000 orders have already been shipped, the length of time our decks just sat there, the lack of communication and no tracking, and the terrible packing jobs were enough to make us pause to look more carefully at this company.  I'm sorry to say that when our printer went to do an in-person check with this company yesterday morning, they found that almost 1500 orders were still just sitting there, orders they had told us had been sent.  That was the last straw for us.  We immediately had our printer take possession of everything and cancelled our contract. 
  2. Fulfillment going forward:  Our printer will be opening all the "packaged" orders and repacking them.  They are completely changing the packaging to boxes.  We were livid to find out products were being tossed in a flimsy bag...if you only knew how much we paid for packaging...so to find out that what we paid for and what they used were two completely different things was infuriating.  Please know that repackaging and sending out these remaining decks will take at least 2 weeks.  We know that this adds on time to an already delayed schedule, but we could not in good conscience continue with that other fulfillment center knowing how incompetent and careless they were.
  3. What to do if you have damaged or missing items? We are replacing any and all damaged or missing items.  We have also instructed our printer that any replacements were to be sent EXPEDITED shipping WITH tracking as you all should not have to wait any longer than you already have. To replace your items, please send an email to [email protected] with the following information:
    1. Name
    2. Order Number
    3. Description of what was damaged or missing
    4. If an item(s) is damaged, include photographs of the damage
  4. We are processing a high volume of emails. Our admin team is working overtime trying to send out thousands of tracking numbers, managing our customer communications, and still responding to the influx of messages here on Kickstarter.  If you have sent us a message, please know the response time right now is 2-3 business days.  We literally have over 200 emails alone, and that does not include all the messages here on Kickstarter.  Our admins are responding to messages in the order they were received. So if you email us, and we don't get back to you immediately, this is why.
  5. Shipping was done by region.  We were told that several of you had reached out upset that Kickstarter orders weren't shipped by the order they were received.  This is logistically improbable and outrageously more expensive than shipping by region (U.S., Australia, UK, etc.), which is how orders were processed to keep costs down.

Please know that we did not take these fulfillment issues lightly. And I know it is hard to imagine, but as upset as you all may be, multiply that times 5000 because that's how I am personally feeling right now. To know that something we put so much time and effort into was treated so carelessly and with such disregard is infuriating beyond that which I can express in non-curse words, and the backlash has definitely left me feeling very defeated. I cannot stress enough how many hours my team is putting in to rectify this issue.  As soon as I have an update with more information, I will be back to pass that on to all of you.

Hooray!! We have more tracking numbers! 🎉

We’ve finally received the vast majority of remaining tracking numbers from our fulfillment center! Over the next few days we’ll be sending (literally) thousands of tracking numbers to Kickstarter backers and pre-order customers. Be sure to check the email address associated with your account for an email from rueandvervain.com with the following subject line: Your order is on its way! 
Note: the tracking numbers in this update do not include the 1100 we originally received and sent out. 

There are A LOT of tracking numbers, so it’s going to take us a few days to send them all out. We’re thinking we’ll be finished by the end of the week, but it may take longer. If you haven’t received your tracking number within the next couple of days, don’t worry—it’s on it’s way. If you haven’t received it by Friday, March 15th, contact [email protected] to let us know. We request that you wait until this date to contact us about tracking numbers to give us enough time to send them all to you!

We want to thank you again for your patience and support throughout the campaign. We know that there have been a lot of ups and downs and your encouragement and understanding has meant everything to us. We’re beyond thrilled that Pooh is making his way to you, and we hope you enjoy working with this deck as much as we enjoyed creating it!

Pooh Decks Are Arriving!

Two Awesome Updates!

Good morning everybody!  

I have two incredible updates. First, the Chinese New Year shutdown is over. For those of you not familiar in China, where our decks are produced they shutdown for Chinese New Year for a couple of weeks, it's literally radio silence from China during that time in terms of business as they really respect their holiday. Yesterday was the first day everybody was back from the holiday and business has resumed as usual. So that is the first bit of good news. 

The second bit of good news is that somebody finally received their deck!  W got the first tag on Instagram!  Someone tagged us yesterday that they received their deck and took a really great picture. We have included that post in our story on Instagram. We would also like to encourage anybody else who receives the deck to please feel free to tag us on Instagram we are @rueandvervain, on Facebook we are @rueandvervaintarot, and on TikTok we are @rueandvervain.  So, we would appreciate anybody letting us know in tags or in a Story or just send us a message here on Kickstarter and say, "Hey, I got the deck!" 

Please note that the decks that are arriving right now are the decks that were shipped at the end of January. Also, decks that were shipped to the United States were shipped in bulk by freight, which means they came over by ship which often can take 10 days to three weeks to arrive. So please keep in mind that we are just reaching that mark right now. I would imagine in the next week, we should start receiving decks here in the United States.

In terms of tracking information, I have let the fulfillment center know that I will not be making the final payment until all of you receive your tracking information. That was the best way I could think of to light a fire under them to get you the information that you need. Okay everybody that's going to do it for this update.
