What an Adventure! Wisdom of Pooh Tarot is Now Closed

Hello!

What an adventure it has been.  Needless to say this project was an unbelievable success.  However, there is no time to pause just yet as we are still in full swing here behind the scenes formatting graphics, finishing artwork, ordering samples and prototypes,  and a thousand other tiny details.  

We are working on finalizing the last few details to open pre-orders which will occur in the next few days.  Check back soon for access to the pre-order site where you can add items or place a pre-order.  Remember, that any decks added on from this point forward will NOT include any bonus items (cards, coin, journal, etc.).

SHIPPING REMINDER: Shipping will be charged later, once we have nailed down the packaging materials and weights so that we can charge shipping accurately.

Kat completed a bunch more artwork this week!  I will be sending another update later with some images of all the completed cards to date.  In the meantime, enjoy this recently completed Ace of Swords that is just magical (See Below).

$350k Stretch Goal Unlocked! Plus Post Campaign Info

Good morning!

As many of you know we reached our $350k stretch goal last night unlocking the Wisdom of Pooh Bullet Tarot Journal and Stickers!  That means we have unlocked ALL SIX STRETCH GOALS!

I am currently working to get the Major Arcana stickers formatted and Kat has already begun work on the Moon Phase stickers.  They are beautiful.  See below for a few samples.

Important Updates

Artwork Status: Kat has completed more cards this past week!  As of today we have 59 cards completed (plus 3 of the 4 bonus cards), 13 cards are in draft format, and only 6 remain pending.  Below are the six cards Kat completed this week.

Mini Deck-in-a-Tin: With the overwhelming success of this campaign we are able to spread the love to our Wisdom of Pooh Mini deck! This means that all the mini-decks will now come with matte gold edging, gold details on the backs, AND THE FOUR BONUS CARDS!!! 

Bulk Quantities: I have increased the quantities in the Add-Ons section.  The default was 10 but since several of you have asked to be able to order more, I have increased it to 100 across the board.  So if you would like to add on more cloths, bags, decks, etc., you can now do so in quantities larger than 10.  Please note that all bulk pledges placed during the campaign will come with an equal number of Stretch Goal items.  For example, if you order 10 decks, you will receive 10 packs of art prints, 10 coins, 10 journals, etc.

After the Campaign Ends: We have partnered with BackerKit to provide the ability to add-on items after the Kickstarter campaign closes on March 22, 2023.  This means anyone can add on items to their current order.  Want to add an extra deck, bag, or cloth?  You can use BackerKit to do that.  This also allows anyone who missed the campaign to pre-order any of the available items.  Please note that any items added on after the campaign ends through BackerKit will NOT include any Stretch Goal items.

What's Available for Pre-Order?:  The following items will be available to pre-order (at the Kickstarter price) through BackerKit after the campaign ends: Standard Size Wisdom of Pooh deck, Mini Deck-in-a-Tin, Christopher Robin Box Set, Tarot Cloth & Bag, and the Pooh Plush!  

We have also decided to make available for pre-order the Pooh Divination Coin, the Pooh Bullet Journal, and Journal Stickers.  Each standard deck will already include one divination coin, one journal, and one set of stickers.  However, if you would like to purchase additional coins, journals, and stickers, or if you missed the campaign but still want to get the extra items, they will be available for a limited time through BackerKit.  BackerKit Pre-Orders will close on April 12, 2023.  After that date no additional pre-orders or updates to orders can be made.  In the fall, once production is complete, we will split any remaining copies of the decks and items between the Rue & Vervain Online Shop and our Etsy shop.  Note that the Journal and Divination coin will not be for sale after the closing of the pre-orders as these are Kickstarter exclusives.  

Reminder About Shipping: Just a reminder that shipping will NOT be charged until the summer when we begin to prepare items to ship!  This ensures we are not overcharging or undercharging for shipping as we will have a more accurate picture of the box sizes and weight of each item.  See chart below from our printer on shipping estimates.  This is not an exhaustive list, but it should give you an idea of the shipping costs.

 We cannot believe there are only 4 days left in the Kickstarter campaign.  Wisdom of Pooh Tarot has been a whirlwind project that has exceeded our expectations at every turn.  We truly feel blessed.  Thank you all for joining us on this adventure! More updates soon.

New Wisdom of Pooh Artwork & Videos

Good afternoon (or evening or morning depending where in the world you are),

Kat has completed the artwork for several cards in the last week and I wanted to share a few of them with you all.  As of today we have 56 cards complete, plus 3 of the 4 bonus cards, 9 cards are in draft format, leaving 13 cards pending.  We are right on target to have everything complete and ready to go to print by the beginning of May.

We Are So Close to Our Next Stretch Goal!

Good morning Pooh enthusiasts,

I just wanted to give a quick update since we are so close to our next Stretch Goal.  As of this moment we are a little over $305k and have 11 days left in the campaign.  

NEXT STRETCH GOAL: Just a reminder that our next $350k Stretch Goal is the Wisdom of Pooh Bullet Journal and Journal Stickers!  Stickers include Major Arcana, Suits, and Moon Phases!

FULLFILLMENT UPDATE: This campaign has done better than we could have ever imagined. With that in mind, Angel and I have made the decision to have our printer handle the fulfillment of our decks. This will not only provide a much quicker turn-around for all of our backers, it will also help to keep shipping costs down while significantly reducing our carbon footprint. Initially we were going to have all the decks shipped to us, rent a space, hire staff, and do the fulfillment ourselves. However, with the amount of decks we are now ordering, to have them shipped across the world, then back out across the world again one-by-one would be wasteful and harmful to our planet. Not to mention increase the turn-around time. Our printer has an amazing reputation and has handled the fulfillment of several successful Kickstarter decks, so we are confident our deck is in good hands. We will continue to handle all customer service ourselves.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Question: Is there a guidebook?

Answer: Both the Standard and the Mini decks in this campaign come with keyword cards.  However, Angel and I are currently working on the guidebook, A Deep Dive Into The Wisdom of Pooh Tarot, coming out in 2024.

Question: How do Stretch Goals Work?

Answer: Every backer that pledges at a reward level that includes the Standard size deck will receive all unlocked stretch goals for each standard deck purchased.

Question: Can I change or modify my pledge?

Answer: Yes! Just go to the main campaign screen and click the Manage Your Pledge button at the top of the screen. 

Question: How much of the Tigger Too Tarot deck (coming to Kickstarter in 2024) will be new artwork?

Answer: The Wisdom of Pooh & Tigger Too Tarot will have 30-50% new and updated artwork featuring Tigger.  The cards will also have different backs and it will have it's own full color, hardbound guidebook.

Questions: Will the items from the Stretch Goals be offered in the Rue & Vervain online shop or Etsy?

Answer: Limited quantities of certain items will be offered in the Rue & Vervain shop and in our Etsy shop after the campaign ends. However, they will retail for much higher than what is offered here in the campaign.  The following items will be available online:

Angel and I have been busy behind the scenes finalizing artwork, securing all the peripheral items, and so much more.  Aaaand we are excited to announce that we are sweetening the next Stretch Goal with Journal Stickers!  That's right, when we unlock the $350K Stretch Goal, not only will every backer who pledged at the Wise Owl level or higher receive a Wisdom of Pooh Bullet Tarot Journal, but you will also receive a set of Journal Stickers!  The stickers will include a set of Wisdom of Pooh Major Arcana stickers, Suit Stickers (Honey Pots, Chocolate Pentacles, Wands, and Swords), and Moon Phase stickers!
